Scan a document with your phone
Capture one or more pages as a cropped PDF and handle camera permission errors.

The internal mobile client uses the platform document camera to detect page edges, straighten each capture, and combine multiple pages into one PDF.
- 1Choose Add in the phone navigation bar (announced as Add to Vault), or the add control in the tablet navigation rail.
- 2In Add to Vault, choose Scan a document.
- 3Allow camera access when the operating system asks. Capture each page, review the crop, and keep the scan in the platform scanner.
- 4In Upload, choose an optional Category, then choose Upload file.
- 5Open Vault and select the document to review its preview and processing details.
If the camera or scanner does not work
- When camera access is denied, open the device Settings, find Stoatify, enable Camera, then return and choose Try scanner again.
- If the scanner closes without keeping a document, choose Try scanner again.
- Choose Upload files instead to select an existing PDF or image without using the camera.
- If no Stoatify camera permission appears in Settings, open Camera from the Upload sheet once so the operating system can present its permission prompt.
Tip
For an existing file or a single photo, follow Upload files from a phone or tablet.
