A payment failed
If a charge doesn't go through, your organization keeps its plan while Stripe retries the payment, and you'll be prompted to update your card. Your plan only drops back to Free if the subscription is ultimately canceled.
Canceling
- Cancel from the Stripe billing portal; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- After that, the organization returns to the Free plan.
What happens to your data on the free plan
- Your documents stay. Nothing is deleted by a downgrade.
- Features above the free tier (automation, e-signatures, extra intake addresses, and so on) become unavailable until you're on a plan that includes them, but your data isn't touched.
- If you're over the free storage limit, you can still read and delete, you just can't add more until you're back under it or upgrade again.
