Not everything worth keeping is a file. A confirmation number, a combination, a bit of context about a document, sometimes you just want to jot it down. Stoatify lets you create a note as a first-class document, right alongside your files.

  1. 1Choose New note from the sidebar.
  2. 2Write your note, Markdown is supported for headings, lists, and links.
  3. 3Give it a category and tags, just like any document, and save.
  • Notes are searchable by their contents, the same as files.
  • They carry categories, tags, reminders, and sharing like any other document.
  • Filter to just notes with the Notes view in the vault.

Tip

Notes make a handy cover sheet: keep the scanned document as a file, and a note beside it with the details you'll actually search for.
