Why did my upload fail?
The handful of reasons an upload is rejected, and how to fix each.

Uploads are validated before anything is stored, so a rejection means the file never entered your vault (nothing to clean up). Here are the usual causes.
- File too large. The free plan caps uploads at 25 MB per file; paid plans allow more. Compress the PDF, reduce the image resolution, or upgrade for a higher limit.
- Unsupported type. See Supported file types. Convert the file to PDF or an image first.
- Out of storage. Your plan's storage is full. Empty Trash or upgrade your plan.
- Connection dropped mid-upload. Because records are created only after the bytes land, a dropped connection leaves nothing behind, just retry.
- A link import didn't work. For import from a URL, the link must point at the file itself, not a login page. Download it and upload the file instead.
