Supported file types and limits
Which formats Stoatify accepts, and the per-file size limit.

Stoatify accepts the formats you actually deal with in daily life, and renders the trickier office formats to clean previews so you never have to download them to look.
Accepted formats
- PDF, the everyday standard for documents and scans.
- Images: PNG, JPEG, HEIC and WEBP, including phone photos of paper.
- Office documents: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, rendered to a clean, readable PDF preview so you never have to download them to look.
- OpenDocument: ODT, ODS and ODP, rendered to a preview the same way.
- Plain text and data: TXT, CSV and HTML.
Limits
- Per-file size limit. The free plan allows up to 25 MB per file; paid plans allow larger uploads. Compress or split anything bigger than your plan's limit.
- Many files at once is fine, there is no per-batch cap.
Good to know
Whatever the format, on-device OCR reads the text inside so it becomes searchable, and you can keep a PDF/A archival copy of any document for long-term preservation. See OCR languages and office formats.
