Two timelines help a team see what's happening: the activity feed for document changes, and the audit log for administrative actions.

The activity feed in Stoatify listing recent document changes, each showing who made the change, what changed with a before and after, and how long ago
The activity feed: recent changes across every document you can see.

Activity feed

  • Shows recent changes across every document you can see in the org: files replaced, due dates set, tags edited, and more.
  • Each entry names who made the change, when, and the before and after.
  • Available to everyone, scoped to what you're allowed to see.

Audit log

  • A record of administrative actions: role changes, members invited or removed, settings and retention changes, trash emptied, and more.
  • Found in the admin area, for Owners and Admins.
  • The audit log is part of the Business plan.

Tip

Use the activity feed for "what changed on this document," and the audit log for "who changed the org."
