Organizations explained
The difference between your personal vault and a shared team organization.

In Stoatify, everything belongs to an organization: the boundary that owns documents and members. On your first sign-in a private personal organization is created just for you. To collaborate, you create or join a team organization where documents are shared.

How organizations work
- You can belong to several organizations and switch between them instantly, from the switcher in the sidebar (web) or the Organization screen (mobile).
- Each org has its own documents, members, roles, and settings. Switching changes everything you see.
- Your personal org stays private: it's a separate space that's never shared, no matter how many teams you join.
Create a team
Anyone can create a team org with Create organization, which makes you its Owner. Inside a team, documents are shared by default with everyone, and you restrict the sensitive ones. Then invite your team.
Good to know
The paid Business plans add team features like custom roles, the audit log, and single sign-on. See Plans and storage limits.
Tip
The org you're in rides with every action, so glance at the switcher before uploading if you keep work and personal vaults separate.
