Your first week with Stoatify

A short checklist to turn an empty vault into one you rely on.

You don't have to do everything at once. Here's a gentle week-one checklist that leaves you with a vault that already saves you time, without a big filing marathon.

The upload dialog in Stoatify with drag-and-drop and live upload progress
Start by getting a first stack of documents in.

The checklist

  1. 1Upload a first stack of the documents you reach for most, IDs, insurance, recent tax forms.
  2. 2Skim the categories and move anything that landed in the wrong place.
  3. 3Tag by year or project (2025, house, car) so filtering is instant later.
  4. 4Install the mobile app and snap one paper document to feel the flow.
  5. 5Set one reminder on something with an expiry date.
  6. 6Try a search for a word inside a document to see OCR at work.

When you're ready for more

Tip

That's genuinely it for week one. The vault gets more useful every time you add to it, and nothing you file today needs redoing later.
